Don't believe the psychologized culture. Anxiety is not a disease. You are not stuck. You can know the peace of Christ that passes all understanding.

OCD is not a disease like cancer. The cure has already been discovered and it is Jesus Christ. His Word is more powerful than this diagnosis.

Christ doesn’t want to be Lord of anything half-way. Jesus isn’t looking for help from therapists. God doesn’t need a modern counselor to fill in the gaps the Holy Spirit missed in the Bible.

Jesus transforms. Counseling belongs to the Lord and His bride. It doesn’t belong to the state, to the world, or to secularly trained “professionals.” Counseling is the church’s domain and therapists are trespassing.

Counseling issues are matters of sanctification. Issues such as anger, addiction, worry, fear, conflict, trauma, sexual difficulties, and sadness belong to the realm of pastoral care and discipleship. The Bible speaks comprehensively to these matters.

I am for restoring Christ to counseling and counseling to the church. I love this mission and want it to succeed with my whole heart. Counseling belongs to the Lord and His bride. Counseling doesn’t belong to the state, to the world, or to secularly trained “professionals.”
A follow up regarding the therapeutic crisis in evangelicalism. What can you do? 1) Reject secular therapy. 2) Read the Bible more. 3) Believe you can become competent to counsel. 4) Get trustworthy training. 5) Start making disciples through a local church.

It is tragic how often this is said: “I am a Christian therapist but will only discuss Christianity with you if you ask.” Translation: "In your hour of deepest need, I am willing to withhold the only news that can transform your life."

The evangelical counseling world is in crisis. Most churches embrace the narrative that the real "professionals" are secularly trained and/or licensed by the state. Therapeutic interventions are mixed in with a diet form of pastoral care. Unfortunately, biblical counseling
