SEPTA was created because of the failure of privately-run companies to profitably maintain and operate transit lines The idea that you can just switch it back without service cuts suggests to me that state legislators don't grasp what public transit is or why it exists
News: House Minority Leader Jesse Topper (R., Bedford) says SEPTA should, at minimum, privatize its bus service as the agency faces a $213 million budget deficit. He argues this would protect against other services cuts while "relieving taxpayers" from subsidizing the agency.

Legalize it
When I was growing up in Philly in the 80’s, i didn’t know where the closest pool was to Chinatown. If I had to cool off, I hung in the gallery or went to Logan Circle. I know it’s frowned upon but I don’t blame any kid who finds relief there . Stay cool out there, Philly.
