If you need a reminder that God's mercy isn't abstract but is FOR YOU, this week’s essay may help. Read here:

Mercy invites us to stop living by ledgers and start living by grace. It frees us to stop hiding, stop posturing, and rest in the love that will not let us go.

The cross shows us how justice and mercy meet. Jesus bore the cost of banishment so we could receive the grace of welcome. Nothing about that is fair. It is so much better than fair.

God's mercy is wonderfully startling. It gives us what we don’t deserve, not what we do deserve. This lovingly disturbs our pride and lifts our shame. THREAD 🧵👇

The ache you carry does not go unseen to God. He keeps your tears in a bottle and your name engraved on His hands. You are never forgotten as far as He is concerned.

Jesus wasn’t in a hurry. He paused to heal, to weep, to ask questions, to eat meals with people others avoided. If He wasn’t rushed, maybe we don’t need to be either...?

The people who do the most good in the world tend to be those who are slow to speak, quick to listen, and careful with their words. There is strength in restraint, even as Jesus's was in life and especially on the cross.

On this Veterans Day, we remember with gratitude those who have given their lives so others might live in freedom. Every act of self-giving love echoes the greater love of Christ - who laid down His life, not just for His friends, but for His enemies too.

The goal isn’t perfect clarity, but the perfect Christ. And He is not rattled by your questions. For more on this, here's a full essay:

Abiding in Christ isn’t about having every answer. Sometimes, it's about staying WITH Jesus when nothing makes sense. Like Puddleglum in Narnia, we believe even when the world tries its hardest to make us forget.

Many of the great saints in Scripture — John the Baptist, Thomas, Job, Peter, even Jesus — wrestled with deep questions and grief. They weren't shamed or banished for it. They encountered God in deeply personal ways.

Doubt doesn’t mean your faith in Christ is collapsing. It might actually mean it’s being deepened 🧵👇

The gospel never calls us to walk alone. It calls us to belong—to Christ Himself, who gave His life for us, and to His people, who walk together in faith, hope, and love.

Sometimes the people who seem furthest from God are closer than they realize. In God's Kingdom, "I believe, Lord, help my unbelief" is a noble, effectual prayer that God honors.

In case you missed it 👇 🧵
There are many who say they’re "spiritual but not religious"—and that they're done with "the institution." This often comes from real pain—spiritual wounds, hollow traditions, church hurt, etc. Jesus never mocks that pain. But He still says, "It is not good to be alone." 🧵👇

Faith that never unsettles us may not be real faith. God calls us into something deeper and more authentic—where grace holds us, truth shapes us, and love urges us forward into the likeness of Christ.

Privatized faith may feel freeing, but it rarely changes us. We need other people. We need worship alongside them. We need grace through them. Solo spirituality might soothe for a while, but it isn't known to sanctify.

Jesus created the church—a flawed but Spirit-filled family. It’s not an optional add-on to Christian discipleship. It’s where we find accountability, care, and shared mission. We were never meant to grow in Christ by ourselves.
