1,400 words written…not a bad start to the day before going to work.

Recently, I’ve been feeling like I have no good new ideas, and like all the old ideas I was working on are weak or, worse, terrible. Today, I finished plotting out my next novel. Writing Community of X…. I think I’m back!.

My characters officially have names. Guess that means I have to write this thriller novel now.

Into the final section of my novella—this has been one of my tougher writing experiences but I think I’m finally finding some flow. Better late than never?.

Broke 20,000 words on my novella last night and…it might not end up being a novella

Lachryma has me convinced that this new Ghost album is going to be the album of the year (sorry Spiritbox, still love you).

I Bury Them Alive by @MattConverse1 mixes elements of the classic amateur sleuth novel with an Edgar Allan Poe style of buried-alive horror. Definitely one of the more original reads I’ve experienced of late.

So many expiring library books—guess I know what I’m doing for the next 3 days. (If my workplace asks, I’m sick 🤧).

I’m slowly realizing that I set most of my horror stories in the winter…wonder what that means 🤔 . Anyway, check out A Little Slice if you like teenage angst, obsession with grandeur, demonic entities, and, of course, copious amounts of blood

6 connected short stories about ghosts, darkness, and evil?. Ice & Crow is a great way to keep cold throughout a long winter’s night

Been debating for a while what I wanted to say about Nosferatu (2024). Full disclosure: I respected the originality and artistry of the 1922 version but never enjoyed it (thought it was too slow), and I didn’t like the 1979 version at all. There’s some clear artistic intention

As a slow reader, 7-day skip-the-line loans on Libby for 900+ page books are the world's way of testing me. (Side note: I succeeded).
