Hola. I joined bluesky over a year ago but hadn't posted much because it's been slow to build and I enjoyed quietly following non-baseball people who'd quit the hellsite entirely. But that's going to change.

I wrote about the trades. The farm wasn't awesome Thursday morning and it's less awesome now, but the roster was already set to win now, so, try to win now. Also, the emotions of being this type of fan, remembering some guys, etc.

Numbers of changes Curvelo threw tonight: 4. Number he threw in 38 AAA IP according to Statcast: 0. Checked the data and, yeah, there's some misclassifications and he's thrown maybe 6-8, almost all in July.
Curvelo: FB/SI 95, top 97, throws about 50%, bullet SL 82-86, slightly better-than-avg whiff w heat (but offset some by results on contact), slightly below w slider (but offset by *terrific* contact results). Blah BB rate, poor 1st-pitch strike. Big platoon but not historically.

More Cody: .Hard hit: 38% (37%) .Median exit: 92.0 (90.7) .90th-pct exit: 100.4 (103.7) .50% angle range: -10 to +28 (-5 to +30) . Selective but tends to put in play vs walk. VERY hard to whiff regardless of pitch type. Lots medium-hard contact, some of 12 HRs are PCL specials.

Kohl Drake a touch off in his 2nd AAA start. Just 1 hit but 5 homerish balls in play. Also had 5 batters in a row started 0-2 but couldnāt be finished off, walked 2, fanned none, needed 32 pitches. Not bad, but some struggles.

Jon Gray done after 2 IP in Round Rock. FB 93-95, SL 85-88, CB 77-82, CH 87. Misses on 2 FB, 2 SL, 1 CB. Control fine. No-doubt homer on 1st-pitch FB by Sam Hilliard. Maybe a few unintended slider locations but generally a strong outing.

Also, everybody is pissed at everybody. Frisco manager and two players ejected, hitters grumpy with umps, lots of intersquad jawing and a postgame mini-ruckus. 2 more games to go, Frisco must win both to have shot at title.

David Davalillo solid if not often scintillating in AA debut. FB 91-94, low 80s sweep, hi 70s curve, low 80s split. Early solo shot and a later run. Worked out of a 1st-3rd 1 out situation by missing bats with split and slide. Walcott DHed again, 0-4 3k, didnāt have it tonight.
