Well, Young defied expectations here, as he's up to 104 yards as the fourth quarter begins.

Panthers have a great TD drive, ending on 29-yard pass from Young to McMillan, but then go for 2 after a penalty on 49ers on a successful extra point try. As iffy as passing game has been, that's an iffy idea by Canales. It doesn't work. 49ers up 17-9 at end of third quarter.

No Jaycee Horn so far in the 2nd half. Per MNF broadcast, he was throwing up on the sideline after his 2nd pick and is being evaluated for a concussion.

Horn is out for the rest of the game.

Will Bryce Young (40 yards, early in third quarter) surpass 100 yards passing in this game?

Regarding Bryce Young's 28 yards passing at halftime -- the outlier was last week (448), not so much this. Bryce game by game this year in passing yards (in the games he's played): 154 328 121 150 198 199 138 102 124 448 28 (halftime)

After that 448-yard masterpiece last week, Bryce Young is 5-for-7 for 22 yards, no TDs and one killer INT so far as this MNF game nears halftime. Because of Panthers D, though, Carolina is still only behind 7-3. Also.. no Legette targets, T-Mac a bad drop, no TE catches.. ugly.

Purdy has now thrown THREE interceptions in the game's first 21 minutes. Unreal. All 3 of his passes that have been more than 15 yards have been picked off. Jaycee Horn with 2 of them; defense keeping Carolina in the game.
