A close to a fantastic meeting of the Scottish Radiological Society. Excellent experience with @hopinofficial Huge thanks to the speakers and the organisers (Anjali Nandakumar, Derek Smith, Struan Wilkie) and to the outgoing SRS President, Prof John Murchison (1/2)

When asked about how he convinced skeptical colleagues of the role of NMR imaging it was a simple answer: "I showed them it works!" Prof Francis Smith #scotrad20 #mri #imaging #radiology #medicalhistory (2/2)

Our last scheduled talk was from Prof Francis Smith on the introduction of the first clinical body MRI in Aberdeen 40 years ago. Fascinating seeing the rapid learning curve from users and requestors, and the transformation over this time (1/2) #scotrad20 #MRI #medicalhistory

David Summers from Edinburgh presented a user's guide to CSF assessment. Plenty of useful CT and MRI tips and review areas, correlating with the clinical situation. Imaging is essential with neurological deficits and/or reduced GCS. #scotrad20
