The percetive among you may have noticed we have some new, conspicuously wintry footage in our showreel we shared last week. We've been teasing it for a few months now, but one week today, May 22nd, we'll be revealing what exactly it is we've been working on.

There's more to this bottle than meets the eye. For every single one made, Talisker is making a donation to Parley to help protect and preserve wild sea forests. Watch our latest film for @TaliskerWhisky made by the sea, for the sea. https://t.co/pUtNu7gIwQ

We concluded our traverse of the Hardangervidda with @ExpeditionsSoe by skiing through the dense boreal forests of eastern Norway, over the border to Sweden. Even in the dead of winter, it feels like life is ever-present, hardy and resourceful.

Well, what a fortnight it's been. It's no mean feat to cross the Hardangervidda, living off only what we can drag behind us. We're excited to shed a bit more light on this project in the coming weeks, but in the mean time here's a sneaky clip to whet your appetite...

3 years. On this day in 2020, the Scotica team packed up cameras, donned crampons and headed up into the mountains for our first ever shoot, with none other than the fantastic folks at Ocean Vertical. Here's to the next 3.

How exactly do you rebuild a mountain? That's what we've been learning this week with Forest Carbon, on the slopes of Cul Mor where massive, landscape-scale peatland restoration is taking place. We look forward to sharing more from this documentary soon!

Multiple prolonged cold spells across the Highlands this winter have resulted in uncommonly ideal conditions for snowsports, in particular backcountry ski-touring. Experiencing Scotland's mountains in this unique way is an increasingly rare privilege.
