We had special guests in the school yesterday as some of the players from the Old Leighlin Ladies Football team visited with the cup. They were worn out from signing autographs while the kids got off homework as a special treat to mark the occasion!

There was great excitement in Old Leighlin today as our former pupil Katie Nolan visited with her teammate Carlise Comerford to show the boys and girls the Leinster and All Ireland trophies they won as part of the victorious Kilkenny camogie team!

Not to be for our boys tonight as we were beaten by a strong Kildavin team. Comhghairdeas Kildavin! Our boys never gave up and kept trying until the end. As disappointing as it is to lose a final, after two years without any sports we're so happy to be back out playing again!

Mixed fortunes for our footballers last night. Both teams played with incredible heart and skill. The girls won a titanic tussle with Myshall while the boys were edged out by a very good Kildavin team. Thank you to all the families for your support. It was greatly appreciated.

An outstanding effort from our u-11 CU Quiz team saw them finish in joint 2nd place today at the Regional final. Unfortunately we missed out on a place in the All Ireland on a tiebreaker. Considering that 2 of the boys are u-11 for another 2 years, it's an incredible achievement!
