5/ To recap: the current state of DeSci 1. Investor base remain predominantly web3, although some biotech investor have shown up 2. Misalignment in time horizon btwn investors 3. Movement toward balance of near term revenue model to drive token price and attract new investors

4/ Important to remember DAOs are not securities and do not return capital. BUT they can buy back tokens with their financial returns to drive price higher. I believe this will be the primary underlying mechanic which enhances demand for the governance token.

3/ Investors in this space are diverse (primarily web3). They will wait for returns, but a 5-10year exit path is too long for them by itself. The HairDAO example of more immediate consumer revenue is an example of balancing need to demonstrate near / long term

2/ As a strategic investor we have some wins to point to already in the form collaborations and other work with VitaDAO portfolio companies. On the financial side we have a positive ROI, although lagging vs index. So how do we drive financial return?

1/ Interesting comments: “DeSci needs a bit more evidence that these thesis can play out” I spoke about this over a year ago at DeSci Berlin - judgement day will be coming quickly from investors, and the field need to point to a few wins when that day comes More 👇🏼
