March of 2011 I quit and went to SxSW, and I actually saw the head of security as I walked out. He was a bit grumbly that I wasn’t going to help finish what I started, but I was still pretty psyched about what had been so awkwardly achieved.

By this time I was embarrassed for not knowing about the ticketing that everyone was using but I went through with the meeting anyway. I think GitHub had just launched Enterprise so it was barely on his radar. But he knew it would be useful for his code review burden.

Another part of onboarding at Bloomberg is meeting the president. This was during Mike’s mayorship so I believe the prez was Peter. During this meeting I mentioned my need for GitHub Issues and he referred me to the head of security. A name something like Clark Clarkson.

As a contractor I don’t have access to every tool in the terminal. But there was a ticketing tool for me to track my deliverables. Somehow I missed this information and when I asked my boss for a way to track them, he made it my mission to pick one. I chose GitHub.

I was the catalyst that began Bloomberg’s use of GitHub. Bloomberg has a culture of listening to engineers no matter where they are in the hierarchy. My boss was not the best at this because he had just come from working at a bank.

I've been vibing for a month or so, after lots of research. Latest vibe is for me to learn TypeScript and get my son invested. Refactor to components failed, decided to rewrite and generated prompt. New Claude didn't even use Lit components. WTF.

My sports musings are rarely as accurate as I’ve been about the Reds this season. Yesterday was such a good example of having great clubhouse spunk. Someone is doing what India used to do. Hays, Benson, etc. This series will be hard to win - 20%.

I wanted a visual math game for my son, so I started a new project to learn a little JS (I do Ruby). Behind the scenes there are some formulas that might help me learn decent implementation. I admit I didn't give Claude many rules this time.

This could be one of the greatest apps of the year. Peter says that not only did Claude write the whole thing - he did it in a single prompt!. And I bet it was a prompt delivered through a vibe tunnel.

The real insane stuff? You gotta look at the iOS app. This is a completely agent-built port of the web frontend. I DID NOT WRITE A SINGLE LINE OF THIS.

I’ve mentioned many times that I have a strange amount of trouble finding music to listening to. Great progress with Carbon, a music player originally billed as Electro. Now has many styles, all Underground music. iPhone on macOS FTW

Wondering how I would update my Windsurf cmd-esc launch of Claude to actually execute ‘vt claude’ or ‘claude —dangerously-skip-permissions’.

Third time today I’ve reached my usage limit right as the 5 hours are expiring. I’m using these sips of Sonnet to build out a pretty tight group of conventions. After this plan wraps up I need to give a few more examples of what I don’t want.

I wonder if Claude will ever tell me that I'm right without insisting that I am "absolutely right!!".

I've been iterating my defaults like so:. Is there a way to further scope these tools as to what they are allowed to do by default? Or each is all-or-nothing for now?

Some questions about connecting Claude Code to Cursor:. 1 - is this the same as using CC as an MCP?.2 - does it work with Cursor's free tier?.3 - can I connect it to both Cursor and Windsurf? And see the files open in each?.4 - does it have other benefits aside from seeing files.

I'm using CC and keep hearing I should connect it to Cursor. 1 - is this the same as using CC as an MCP?.2 - does it work with Cursor's free tier?.3 - could I have it connected to both Windsurf and Cursor? e.g. see the files that I have open in each?.

I have a pretty good backlog written out, so I think my new plan is, if Claude makes something I didn’t expect, I can add it to the backlog instead of trying to figure out if it’s good code in the moment.
