Though, one small detail I’d like to bring up is the longer Kakyoin stayed with the Crusaders, the more his sense of identity started to take a form, and the closer he is to his Stand. And now he knows who he is: a Virtuous Pope

Hierophant Green is the first long distance Stand in JoJo’s, it can separate itself from its user for up to 100 meters, which describes Kakyoin's isolation. That even Kakyoin himself is not close to his own Stand, he is truly and utterly alone

Hierophant doesn’t show any emotion or have any Stand cry iirc, it’s sleek and pretty quiet. Making it easier for it to be ‘invisible’ and hide without a trace or sound. Furthermore, it seems to be pretty cold and blunt, just like its user

(it’s interesting to note that Magician’s Red is the opposite in this aspect. even Star Platinum generally opposes Hierophant Green)

If I could mirror Hierophant’s trait to Kakyoin, it would fit his inability to be “seen”. If no one can understand his Hierophant Green, then there is no use in making friends. That is the correlation to his Stand not liking wide spaces

Moreover, another guess of mine is that the reason Hierophant chose to mold itself into a humanoid is to fit in (possibly with other humanoid Stands), as this type of Stand may be considered the default--.

Hierophant isn’t actually a humanoid Stand, it’s an assembly of membranes that molds itself into a humanoid. I like to think that Kakyoin’s loneliness made him lose his sense of identity, thus contributing to the idea that Hierophant has no true form -- no true identity

One of HG's abilities is that it can unravel itself into ropes/strings and it can hide in any nook and cranny. Hierophant makes itself invisible to the opponent by either hiding in tight spaces or in a person’s body, which proves that it hates open spaces, as Kakyoin once stated

Starting off with the Hierophant card, it symbolizes tradition, conformity and commitment. The Hierophant resembles a spiritual authority, which reflects on Kakyoin’s strong will and guidance such as being able to remain calm under pressure

i love that jotaro passed on the legacy of naming stands to josuke just like how avdol named his. it shows how much of an impact the crusaders had on jotaro
