just refactored the entire codebase from file_name.rs to file_name/mod.rs structure for files with submodules. looks way cleaner now with less file repetition in directory trees. gonna be interesting seeing all those /mod.rs tabs when I am deep in the flow state #rust

check it on my hub.. any pointers welcome
back at it building filters on #zwipe the best mobile magic the gathering deck builder in #rust having some fun testing out different filter models for mana searching and trying to build some stuff with AI but being very careful not to let it slop up my code base

when the AI's job is constrained both in reasonable size and to something you are *more* than comfortable doing yourself, there is more success

posting this because i am now experimenting with AI assisted coding but doing so very apprehensively and carefully (many grains of salt and many magnifying glasses)

vibe coding == making an AI build black boxes vibe coder == person unequipped to understand the systems the AI sculpts with hence it always resulting in a black box the output is something very likely to be outside the range of desired results–the human just does not know it

someday i will be like @maneatingape .. today i built a parser https://t.co/1fCVTBGoPu to solve #adventofcode year 2016 day 4 snippets included: parser structure and methods and using it to parse room data

I know I haven’t finished #adventofcode 2025 10 2 BUT it has opened my eyes to bit wise operations and storing state in bits and I just think that is real neat

Me building u12x10 packing into u128 while still planning to do BFS to solve #adventofcode year 10 part 2025 day 2 heh
Update: this is cooked.. There are still too many states to keep track of even if they are just represented as u128 I.e. 30 clicks into the first series and i have ~5.4mil states to track and have seen ~29.3mil states to skip too much for computer

brain no understand big hard problem must break into bite sized chunks easier to understand make the problem meet me where i am at make the problem just as dumb as me this what smart people do

so goated is this process > take a larger problem > break into bite sized chunks > write modules which only have one responsibility to solve smaller chunks > write test code ensuring your module does what you think it does > no more debugging writing tests and finding failures >
