How to be a designer: - Find an arbitrary rule and follow it religiously. - Be disappointed in someone else’s work. - Call their problem “simple” without any knowledge of the constraints they faced. - Insist that it would never have happened in the Steve Jobs era.
How can @Apple mess up a simple corner radius calculation on the new iPhone Air? So disappointing. This never happened in the Jobs and Ive era.

Whoops. (editing, writing, directing)
Saw Anora. I’d never seen a Sean Baker film before. I’m not a big “story” guy, or WGA type, but I was immediately struck by how scenes would stagnate, repeating the same beats to no real effect. My first thought was that perhaps his days in no-budget filmmaking trained him to

Perhaps an overlooked element in the development of new filmmaking voices, lies in the step before film festivals. Before there is even anything to submit, there is a sorting of sensibilities, taste, influences, and talent that happens methodologically via institutions or
