hm,are you encrypting your sk into an attribute? it feels natural to get from ddb using the sk but doing so likely exposes too much data, ie your sk algo. to get around this one solution is to hash the sk into an attribute and pass that around instead. thoughts?. #ddb #dynamodb.

reactnative button <Button . onPress={toggleSignup()}/> is called on render. Vs, onPress={toggleSignup} binds the event. What other counter intuitive things do you hate about reactnative?.

java developers, are you also torn by the fact that you hate typescript but you also hate not having type checking?.

As a coder local LLMs seem great for toys. Most people aren't going to have the hardware to process something like "write a unit test for this method [paste huge method]". results in too many tokens for your hardware. what are you using it for?.

Here's a great conversation showing performance test design is so important. Just throwing some naive workload at a thing might not be true to your workload.

i wrote my first Rust app and 30% of the code was written by copilot. Seems like it should've been higher:

I'm starting to use github's copilot and for cdk it's kind of hit and miss so far. Eg, it'll fill in random properties to create an s3 bucket and call it done. not sure how it picks props but they never the ones i want. How's copilot working for you?.

I'm looking at landing page techniques and came across the @harrydry writeup. One of the concepts he talks about is social proof. This seems counter intuitive to me for an idea with no customers. To me social proof means testimonials. How did you interpret “social proof”?.
