If you're new to sudoku, follow these tips to get started. It's a lot easier than you think!
New to Sudoku? Here are the rules: Fill the 9×9 grid so every row, column, and 3×3 box contains the digits 1-9 exactly once. Start by scanning for rows or columns that are almost complete and ask yourself, "What number is missing?" That's your first move.

"One Box at a Time" Feeling overwhelmed? Focus on ONE box at a time Pick a 3×3 box that's almost complete. Figure out what numbers are missing and where they can go. Completing one box often creates a domino effect, unlocking clues in neighboring boxes.

"Elimination" Can't see where a number goes? Focus on where it CAN'T go. Cross off cells where a number is impossible (already in that row/column/box). What's left? Sometimes narrowing down to 2-3 options is enough to crack the puzzle open later.

"Scanning" Pick a number and scan across rows and down columns. Where does it already appear? Use those placements to eliminate possibilities in other boxes, rows, and columns. Try it with 1s first, then work through 2-9!

"Hidden Single" Scan a 3×3 box, choose a cell, and choose a possible number (say 4). Check the row, column, and box to see if there's another 4 that would cancel it out. Repeat until only one option remains. You've just found the single answer "hidden" among other possibilities!

Now that you know the basic rules, let's talk about strategy. The simplest one to understand is called the "Naked Single". Look at any empty cell. Check what numbers already exist in its row, column, and 3×3 box. If only ONE number is possible, you've found a naked single!
