Blue grama is a common native grass in SE Alberta, known for its eyelash-like seed heads. Drought-tolerant, nutritious for wildlife & livestock, and helps prevent erosion. The Blackfoot used its seed spikes to predict winter severity. #Grasslands #NativePlants

Livestock with access to high-quality water will eat more, drink more and gain weight more quickly. As summer progresses and surface water sources are reduced in volume, it's especially important to know the quality of your stock water.
