It wasn’t even the fact of having to follow the “rules”, it’s the way the security guards made me feel, how dare I dress like this, they starred at me with disgust, like my body was a sin, something I needed to be ashamed of, something that needs to be covered and hidden.

I’m in so much disbelief, I had never been treated like this in my whole life, never felt so much oppression. Many people would argue I was going into a church and I need to “respect” the rules. What type of rules are this though?

Was asked to cover my legs and arms to enter St Marks Basilica. I was wearing 👈🏼, but all men wearing 👉🏼 were allowed in with no issue. I didn’t like the way this made me feel and decided to leave, as I stepped out, the security guard screamed at me “Güila!” -whore in Spanish
