Extremely excited - we will build a great team and great tech!
Iceberg Quantum is designing the next generation of fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures. We’ve raised a $2M pre-seed round from Blackbird and LocalGlobe, and are partnering with PsiQuantum. Read our launch blog: https://t.co/nHLKqpi1XA

Along the way, we also develop new numerical methods to study threshold and subthreshold behaviour, both for post-selected failure probabilities, as well as for abort probabilities. Thanks to @BenJamesBrown, @BartlettQuantum for this fun collaboration!

Breaking a big, error-corrected computation into lightweight attempts results in large savings, even accounting for repetitions required when you have to abort. E.g. for 15-to-1 magic state distillation, we get a 60% reduction in spacetime volume and 75% reduction in # qubits.

Why accept a quantum computation if you have evidence that it's wrong? And why should this change just because the circuit is big, not small? Check out our work applying post selection at scale, with an exclusive decoder ft. a threshold for aborts! https://t.co/NWoWeR4oeS
