Grateful for the care, compassion and competence of nurses now

and always. My Mom’s nursing pin is something I cherish. On important days, I pin it inside my suit jacket to remind me of the importance of calm and consistency.
Thinking of Nightingale the 200th birthday her legacy has "never been more relevant" amid the coronavirus pandemic. Her key nursing values maintaining good hygiene, regularly washing hands and carrying out evidence-based practices - have been widely echoed over the past months.
