According to Ketchikan EOC and City of Craig, the person identified Tuesday with a positive COVID-19 result after arriving and being tested at the Ketchikan airport this past weekend had traveled on to Craig. The out-of-state worker has been contacted by Public Health in Craig.

I wear my mask / cloth face covering while in public for 3 reasons: 1. Humility: I don’t know if I have COVID as it is clear that people can spread the disease before they have symptoms.

One new positive test result for COVID-19 reported in Ketchikan this evening. KTN EOC reports that individual arrived by plane and was tested at the traveler testing site at airport. After result, individual instructed to isolate; is being monitored. Local case count now at 17.

Sad that today is the first Alaskan death from #COVID__19 in over a month. Sending love to their family and friends. As cases climb, so does the toll of this pandemic on families, business and individuals. #Alaska we can find new ways to be stronger together - 6 feet apart.
