If/when I’m wrong, please let me know. But let me know with an understanding that telling me I’m wrong is not the end of the conversation, it’s the beginning of an educational process that enables me to learn, grow, and change. Telling me I’m wrong comes with responsibilities.

Good morning. There are 25 players averaging 20/5 this season. RJ Barrett is one of them.

3/3 But when a Black Person, not all, encounters what were flagrant and explicit mechanisms of oppression and racism up until 60 years ago as implicit and complicit mechanisms today, it is brushed off as unreasonable. The privilege of “Never forgive, never to forget!”

2/3 This platform is filled with stories of children allegedly sobbing in tears of joy over the end of the “oppressive” mask mandates. Even signaling the mere presence of voluntary mask wearers as an inherent and purposeful attack on their well-being.

So there is a lot of talk about the systemic “Mask Trauma” we’ve thrust upon our children, and how it will impact them for years. I suspect this will be a rallying issue for decades, but any talk of the systemic “Trauma of Racism” thrust upon Black People needs to be silenced!!!!

My wife and I started watching Different Strokes. She dislikes when I use my critical theory training to deconstruct our “entertainment,” so I stopped watching with her after 2 episodes…

This is the most important op-ed I’ve written about my time at Rikers at age 16. “Richard Riker, part of the infamous kidnapping club, was known to round up free Black people & send them to the slave-holding South.” Pls read, retweet + share ur opinion. https://t.co/B2d0pLIAA4

Rikers Island is a haunting monument to America’s dedication to the criminalization of poor people, most of whom are Black or Brown. The island has long been an icon of death; before 12 peopl…

No social media! No satellite radio! No internet! No Bluetooth or WiFi! Still hard to fathom how huge MJ was. He set the bar on Rich and Famous!

COVID is very serious, but I fear the next 20 years of elections are going to hinge on questions of vaccines and mask mandates. Questions of social justice, healthcare, tax reform, education reform, criminal justice, civil and economic equality/equity etc will be drowned out!!!!!

Even the cows bred for no other reason than to be slaughtered and served as food are treated “Humanely!”

No human being should be shot and killed by the police. It appears the police know that too. Unfortunately, it’s the police don’t see Black people as human beings. https://t.co/KLMMfcEMGi

The last founding father died in 1836. They had no intention of letting non-land-owning White Men vote, but that changed 32 years later. The beauty of the American project is the potential for each generation to be free of the narrow-minded intentions of their predecessors.

And to be clear, let’s stop pretending the founding fathers didn’t have a very narrow view of who counted as “We the People.” News flash: Race wasn’t the demarcating line. If you’re a renter, you would’ve been prohibited from voting—the first 92 years!

FYI: The founding fathers would’ve started another revolution before they accepted the possibility of a Black Man becoming president. That’s why I cringe at any mention of the founding fathers’ intentions with regards to the Constitution.

This -ish be so blatant that sometimes it makes me want to say.... It’s just hurtful. Very, very hurtful. This relationship between America and Black people is super fucked up and abusive.

GOP Senators met with Trump’s impeachment defense team. If there was nothing wrong with that, why the conflicting stories about what they discussed?

#Knicks In the beginning Coach Thibs said he’d play whoever is practicing, working, and grinding hard. Who thinks that’s Payton? If Quickly hasn’t earned a starting spot, Thibs was blowing smoke. I feel like the more the media presses Thibs, the least likely Quickly will start.

GOP: “Tens of millions of Americans believe election lost was unfair, we need hearings.” I say: “Tens of millions of Americans believe systemic racism pervades law enforcement and the lost of lives as a result of that racism is unfair, we need more than hearings.”
