I ❤️ 🇨🇦. Happy #CanadaDay2025 to all fellow Canucks! I’ve always felt very fortunate in general, but extra to live in Canada, celebrate with my friends & family on our crystal clear crisp lakes. And YES, tomato juice-based cocktails just don’t work w/o a dose of clam juice.

I’m reading a long overdue book: “A Team of Rivals”. Quite inspirational. As American citizens (the true power center) reflect - should the US go to war? Should the fact that congress hasn’t weighed in be an issue?! (Hint: article 1. Read, please).

This thread has aged well. Any nation that goes down the path of well above 1:1 debt to GDP ratio (and this is a path that will take it north of 1.5 : 1 in a couple years) is not going in the right path. Upside growth should be treated as upside, not a fundamental assumption.

Super interesting to ask the LLMs: 1) “what’s your take on the Leafs round two series loss”; 2) “what would you do if you were senior management”. FWIW - I know these are glorified auto-complete engines, but ChatGPT 4o and grok both give answers that are thought provoking.

When Trudeau instituted the carbon tax, it was labeled on gas pumps and itemized on receipts. The clean consumer impact was good (and created a reaction to policy). Why NOT itemize tariff impacts?.
