Since it's the end of the quarter, I traded out one of our traditional tests, that many kids fail, with a small project, that most kids get an A or B on. This was to give them a nice grade at the end of the quarter. They are complaining about it

Not allowed to give a grade for behavior. Are allowed to drop certain low grades at the end of the marking period. With the specific number up to the teacher Therefore, the number of low grades dropped will be in proportion to class and individual behavior

For the first two months of school, "spirit days" were very lightly participated in, hardly at all. But today, it's noticably more. Not a lot let, maybe 1 in 5. But I'm seeing more participants, more smiles. Might actually be gaining some momentum here.

My teacher neighbor just got his review in. Was as demoralizing as mine was last year. I haven't seen mine yet.

10/ I take a selfie with it of course. 30 minute drive with the AC on, no conversion, and we pull up to Darren's job site in the suburbs where a half dozen workers are sitting around on break waiting for the supplies. Easy 20 bucks after all. No tip

9/ But no, sitting in the shop is some bundled up gutter pipe, the sort you would have coming off your house. I confirm that Darren wants me to take that to him. The guy laughs "Darren does this all the time". It's all been paid for, so I just toss it in my backseat and go

8/ I pull up to the store, and an older guy pops his head outside. "Uber for Darren?" He tells me he hurt his shoulder and I should come inside. I am going to die I debate pretending to be on the phone as I go inside with my uncle in the FBI

7/ I get closer. Is this a plumbing supply shop? Maybe he said "drain" and not tree. Either way, how am I going to get it in my car? My thoughts are interrupted by a pre pickup rider preference message from Uber, "prefers cool temperatures, open to chat"

6/ Unusual is bad. Higher paying jobs are more likely to get picked up quickly, but who orders a ride for a tree? The pickup location is in an industrial park just outside of town. I cally wife to tell her I love her and to follow my ride on GPS.

5/ As best as I could hear him say I need to stop at a store and pick up a tree for him, then bring it to him. He will be waiting for me at the destination. This is weird. We have Uber delivery. He selected a passenger ride. He selected a comfort ride.

4/ So that's an easy yes. Two good paying jobs, hardly out of my way, make some money and still get home quickly. Then, immediately after accepting, I get a call from my next passenger, Darren. Darren sounds a bit like a surfer dude, and it's hard to understand him

3/ First ride is a shortish one, but through the city, right to my preferred exit from the city, and on a nice surge. 15 bucks, just for going the way I had to go anyway, and a smooth, easy ride. I immediately get a request that starts right near me, and gets me halfway home.
