Logical conclusion to the @ECISVEEP ‘s arguments on the sudden need for #SIR, pointed out by Shri @abhishekaitc. If the electoral rolls for 2024 were indeed so flawed, why doesn’t the Centre admit it and order fresh general elections ?.
The EC has stated that the voter lists across various states on the basis of which the GENERAL ELECTIONS were held barely a year ago in 2024 are FAULTY and riddled with IRREGULARITIES. If that is indeed the case, and if the GoI agrees with the EC’s assessment, then the first.
