Who does our society protect? Are some peoples pleasure> other people’s safety? Events like this shift the line of disability= a condition that wasn’t disabling before might now exclude someone from accessing all of society if we continue making choices only for the healthiest.

at risk populations are listed as children (22%), elderly (17%), pregnant persons (.5%) and people with preexisting health conditions (27%). Added up that’s over half the population. So when we make decisions that don’t center the most vulnerable, we are harming the MAJORITY..

Our entire county held graduation outside, as the air pollution levels were Orange, meaning “only vulnerable populations” were at risk. This frames it as a minority of population would be at risk and the majority can safely be outside but..
