This is your reminder that the NCAA is trying to force a $20.5m salary cap per school - for all players combined across all sports - while individual coaches are getting contracts and buyouts at a multiple of that. 100+ athletes = $20.5m 1 coach = $54m This is not equitable.
The payouts tied to college football coach firings this year will now grow by another $54M, after LSU admitted Brian Kelly was fired without cause.

There are over 7000 football players currently in the NCAA transfer portal. Under 100 Division I because their window doesn’t open until Jan 2. Last year over 7,000 Division I players entered the portal. There are not enough new “homes.”

A fiduciary for Athletes is similar to the stock market & the Music Industry. Agent=Music A&R You can be bullish on a player, but a team could be bearish. A player’s performance can cause their value to ⬆️ or ⬇️. Strike price is the team & agent agreeing on a contract number.
