It's hard to prove causation in the real world involving humans with agency, so we use the concept of "driver" aka key enabler e.g. Ads drive Sales. Likewise, Jio's cheap data plan is a driver of the exponential growth of DEMAT accounts in India from 25M to 200M.
Till 2016, India had a total of 2.4 cr Demat accounts. Then Ambani decided to give almost free internet to all Indians. Today, we have 20 cr demat accounts. Post the launch of jio, we have added 2 cr demat accounts, year on year, for the last 9 years.

Somebody sued Oracle and Salesforce for EUR 10B for GDPR violation for a similar data sharing case in 2016. A Dutch court dismissed the lawsuit in 2022. https://t.co/h5BbN5g1Ik. Let's see if anybody sues Oracle for the present data sharing case.
