https://t.co/vCdwJK9ETc It seems to me that because 790.053 has been ruled unconstitutional in Florida, there is apparently no statute prohibiting open carry of non-handgun firearms. The sensitive place restrictions only apply to handguns carried openly or concealed.
@AGJamesUthmeier Respectfully, the last paragraph of your opinion is incorrect. 790.06(12) only applies to handguns, and not to all long guns. Please see 790.06(1)(a): “for the purposes of this section, the term “concealed weapon or concealed firearm” means a HANDGUN …” Please have

Can't believe I stopped this morning when I was one line of code away from having the full solution. I just made it start systemd outlet state enforcement units from the trap handler for the changed outlet and now it works perfectly. outlet is on -> toggle off -> trap -> flips on

SNMP trap script works. Added custom fields while logging to the systemd journal, sd_notify status updates. Next I'm going to make it check the state at the time of the event against what it should be so that I can start/stop it to further enforce the outlet state.
