So I've developed this really weird thing where I keep getting cravings for iced coffee drinks, but I absolutely hate the taste of coffee. So no matter how good they sound I've yet to find one that I like. Looking for suggestions

Says the payroll is in a good spot but continues on to say that if there's something that makes the team better he is open to it and said he understands that they have to invest at a higher level. The free agent class is weak this year but I still like to hear that
Eager to continue success on the field, #Royals owner John Sherman discusses payroll, offseason philosophy:

Sad to hear that @Brett_Phillips8 is retiring. But I take comfort in knowing he'll still have a solid career as an artist. Congrats Brett! Quite possibly the most fun player I've watched in my lifetime. I wish you had gotten a better opportunity in KC

Good ol Ryan 0-fer'Hearn
Here is a quick look at how some former Naturals did in Game 1 of the Wild Card Series yesterday: SD: Freddy Fermin 1-for-3 Ryan O'Hearn 0-for-3 CHC: Brad Keller (S, 1) - 1.0 IP | 0R | 1K NY: Tim Hill 0.1 IP | 0H | 0R CIN: Scott Barlow 1.2 IP | 0H | 0R | 4Ks #GoNats

One thing potentially worth noting that I wrote in here: The Royals have not renewed director of hitting Drew Saylor’s contract. So that’ll be a role they have to fill on the Minor League side this offseason.
The #Royals expressed confidence in their coaching staff yesterday but will continue to evaluate this month and through the offseason what they need to help the staff and the players:

I wanted Zumwalt gone, but I also agree with this take. There are at least one or two other guys on the staff that also work with the hitters. So I'll step back on my anger til I see what else they do there
Also, "we will make some decisions on the hitting side" is carrying a lot of weight here. The reality is "hitting coach" is no longer close to a one-man job. Improving the offense does not necessarily involve firing Zumwalt. But it definitely requires getting him a lot of help.

Do not understand their fascination with Zumwalt. What exactly has he done to inspire confidence?

Well, that's a failure

Hey @focobobbles @FOCOusa can we please finally get a Star Rookie bobble of him? @Royals @royalsteamstore
Noah Cameron's final numbers of his rookie season: 2.99 ERA 24 GS 138 1/3 IP 114 K 43 BB 1.10 WHIP He's just the third #Royals rookie (min. 20 GS) to record a sub-3.00 ERA season, following Paul Splittorff in 1971 (2.68) and Kevin Appier in 1990 (2.76).

Why are Grichuk and Maile still getting at bats?

All as a rookie too. But still can't get @focobobbles to make a bobblehead of him. But hey we got 50 Ohtani bobbles this year!
Noah Cameron is one of just five SP’s in the last decade with a 140 ERA+ and a WHIP below 1.10 in their rookie season! An awesome breakout arm for Kansas City 👑

Offseason checklist: Fire Zumwalt Revamp hitting department LF bat, likely via trade Improve on the margins in the bullpen. Can't believe I'm saying this but re-sign Frazier Trade India for a RP

So I think it's clear they trade someone for a bat. Who should they target? I still love Taylor Ward but it doesn't seem like the Angels will ever trade him. The FA outfield market is WEAK. Wilyer Abreu would be nice but I think we need a righty. It's tough to find a fit really
