Terrific panel @esil_sedi in Vilnius, Lithuania and wonderful to hear again from Benedict Kingsbury so many years after @nyulaw. A thought-provoking paper on the inadequacies of the categories of technology and data to regulate AI & a call to adopt the framework of infrastructure

Interested in the gendered harms of artificial intelligence for women and gender diverse people. And law's role in minimising (or eradicating!) such harm. My latest research is out now in the Notre Dame Journal of Emerging Technologies @UTSLaw @UTSIntLaw.

A campaign worth backing. We cannot shift the dial on gender equality unless the role of caring is better shared. Hamish Blake, Amar Singh join campaign to push for better parental leave for dads

A new campaign has launched calling on the federal government to fund 12 weeks of paid parental leave for fathers and non-birthing parents.

In truly extraordinary company, very flattered to make @WomensAgenda "women who will define 2024" list for my work creating the Gender Legislative Index. Tasmanian parliament reacted with a gender audit committee. Which parliament next? @UTSLaw @UTSEngage

And here’s my take in @LowyInstitute's The Interpreter on how this gov can make Australia a leader again on gender-responsive budgeting: table a federal bill to embed GRB in law, learn from Vic's and Qld's experiences & upskill ministries to deliver.

"Gender inequality comes from an imbalance of power between men and women. We can’t achieve equality if we’re afraid to acknowledge that this power even exists." A very good read on why Australia should be explicit about a feminist foreign policy

The problem with an implied rather than explicit feminist approach is that it is all too easy to ignore.
