Pleased to co-chair, with @EnvironmentRw's DG Kwitonda, the multistakeholder platform for circular food systems for Rwanda program. On global scale, studies have shown that about 30% of food is lost or wasted. Yet, 800 million people (about 10%) don't have enough to eat! 1/2

So what exactly does #CircularEconomy business look like? We heard from SMEs like @EzaNezaRwanda on hydroponic strawberry farming that minimises inputs eg water, and businesses turning food waste into compost or a base to farm bugs 🐛 as protein for animal feed. Amazing ♻️ ideas!
