Inclusion is not justice - when the “seats at the table” are given only to those who fit in - or as Freire said- “ the oppressor’s tranquility rests on how well people fit the world the oppressors have created, and how little they question it.”
If an educational initiative espouses social and linguistic justice but actually requires marginalised children to change or abandon their language, then all it is doing is placing responsibility on marginalised children to change themselves. That isn't justice - it's harm.
