Some posters from #CVPR2023 Tue 6/20 poster session! I enjoyed it more than past pre-COVID poster sessions; probably a mix of less crowds at posters and using Scholar Inbox for finding relevant posters. Also nice seeing familiar faces at and between posters :)

Wrapping up with our last talk by @alicexiang on “Being ‘Seen’ vs. ‘Mis-seen’: Tensions between Privacy and Fairness in Computer Vision”. It’s been really neat to see a diversity of researchers (some outside of CV) share their perspectives! #CVPR2023 XAI4CV workshop

Enjoyed a talk by @QVeraLiao who notes that prediction may not be the most interesting problem to work on, but rather extracting information, summarizing to help a human perform the decision making. #CVPR23

@arvindsatya1’s talk focused on their recent #FAccT2023 work by @angie_boggust and @harini824 et. al on Saliency Cards; see the authors’ thread for more details! Really neat to see how they develop vocabulary for the different parts of saliency methods and how to weigh them.
Which saliency method do I use? What is it good for? How is it different from others? Answer these questions and more with ✨saliency cards✨--- transparency documentation for saliency methods! 💻 https://t.co/G7xGOnDLJw 📄 https://t.co/q0hKCzOQLH At #FAccT2023 🧵
