You need to think about supply chains more People talk about how China has most shipbuilding capacity etc. But who builds the container ships' engines? Germany, USA, Finland, Japan etc Strategically, capacity dominance matters a lot less than the degree of vertical integration

I do admit I like to mog Britain's obsession with fintechs. Low strategic value, often just shuffling ££ for small % fees etc But the first fintech startup I've invested in just turned a profitable quarter <1yr after being founded It's hard to not like capital light businesses
