We all know heat slows us down-but what about the cold? Study: Running time to exhaustion in temps from 20°C to -14°C. Result: ~0°C temps out performed -14°C by ~10%! It's less predictable, but temps as low as the ones we've been experiencing significantly ⬇️performance.

Wow 🥵🇨🇦😳 Natasha Wodak just smashed Malindi Elmore’s Canadian marathon record this morning in Berlin. Previous record - 2:24:50 - @MalindiElmore New record - 2:23:13 - @tasha_wodak The Canadian women’s marathon record has dropped by more than 5 min since 2013.

Training in the heat makes you faster in heat...and cold! Heat acclimation triggers an increase in plasma volume (fluid content of blood). This volume spike results in increased stretching and recoil of your blood vessels, enhancing transportation to your muscles!
