Documentation guidance is inaccurate My @github holds a lot of history and it especially holds the history of my entire career - it’s my portfolio( and there is endless evidence to prove I am me but I can’t even FINd where to request investigation!! And the support is useless

I sadly can’t find my recovery codes but I AM logged in to my 2FA and it should be working! I also could not find the option to request that @github Run an investigation for recovery - because I have SO much proof that I am me and am associated with my GitHub account.

I spent far too long trying to figure out if there is a human I can reach out to. Your “support” system kept throwing me an automated , probably AI driven support that kept telling me I can’t be helped if I don’t have my 2FA or recovery codes.

Something about that is why we love pictorial symbols. Salient landmarks, visual texture, connection... idk! I am sure someone has studied THAT in depth... the end!

oh and what's my overall point. Just... there are many facets to visual texture that older maps have that make us love them. Beyond brush strokes, ink blots, and type face, map monsters.. maybe also the curiosity and human connection of getting glimpses of that via the map

which obviously maps no longer told me so I googled it haha, and I wouldn't have asked myself that question if I hadn't been looking at those maps that spanned a few centuries. ...

... older maps gave people a sense of place not only in terms of spatial data but bits and pieces of local information too. the ARCHITECTURE!!... the fashion. It's a connection that is lost in bird's eye view maps. I also really wanted to know when the walls disappeared...

... that gets lost when we switch to "birds eye view" maps. A lot of that human-connection texture is lost as we move into lithography and the 1800s. And there is certainly a lot of geospatial data that is increasingly more refined and accurate...
