Përparim Rama has declared victory in Prishtina, thanking LDK voters for their trust. “Today, citizens sent a clear message — we want development, vision, and transformation. Prishtina is the engine of progress and must inspire every government,” he said.

A total of 791,123 citizens (39.07%) out of 2,025,105 registered voters cast their ballots today to decide the future of their municipalities for the next four years across 🇽🇰 According to CEC Chair Kreshnik Radoniqi, these figures are based on data from 95% of polling stations.

Demokracia në Veprim (DnV) reports that election day was generally calm and democratic. However, they noted irregularities, mainly assisted voting involving women and youth, with many cases not officially recorded.

CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi told RTK that the vote counting for mayoral candidates will begin tonight, while the counting for municipal assembly candidates will start tomorrow.

At 19:00, polling stations officially closed across Kosovo, marking the end of the local elections. According to CEC data from around 96% of polling stations, turnout stands at 32.90% so far. Meanwhile, reports indicate some voters are still waiting in line to cast their vote.

🗳️ As voting entered its final hour, CEC reports that by 18:00, turnout across Kosovo reached 32.66% — or 661,434 voters out of 2,025,105 registered. The data is based on reports from over 94% of polling stations nationwide.

EU Ambassador @AivoOrav visited polling centers in Prishtina and North Mitrovica, calling the visits “a valuable insight into the process.” The EU Office in Kosovo said Orav joined EU colleagues, Member States, and partner countries’ representatives to monitor the elections.

Assembly Speaker Dimal Basha, has cast his vote in the local elections for the first time since taking on his role as Speaker of the Parliament of Kosovo. Basha encouraged all citizens to participate in this electoral process, referring to it as a celebration of democracy.

AAK mayoral candidate for Prishtina, Bekë Berisha, urged citizens to turn out in large numbers and exercise their democratic right. He expressed hope for a smooth process that marks a new beginning for Prishtina and a foundation for a more developed future.

PSD mayoral candidate Besa Shahini voted today at “Iliria” Primary School, urging all citizens—especially women—to vote. She called on women to “reverse the low turnout trend and participate in decisions affecting daily life.”

Nisma leader Fatmir Limaj voted today in the local elections, calling it an important moment for Kosovo’s democracy. He emphasized that citizens have a valuable opportunity to assess the work of local leaders and choose for the betterment of life in their communities.

LDK mayoral candidate for Prishtina, Përparim Rama, also casted his vote today. Congratulating Albania’s national football team on their historic win, he expressed hope that today will also be a victory for the city, development, and the future of Kosovo.

LDK leader @LumirAbdixhiku voting today called elections a “true celebration of democracy” in Kosovo. He thanked election officials, security forces, and the media, and congratulated first-time young voters, emphasizing that citizens’ decisions will shape the next four years.

Casting his vote, PDK leader Memli Krasniqi urged all citizens to participate in the local elections. He stressed that “the next four years will be determined by the voice of the citizens” and expressed confidence in a smooth and exemplary voting process.

Around 100 prosecutors and support staff have been deployed across Kosovo to ensure free and fair local elections. Prosecutors are working with investigators to address any irregularities and uphold the integrity of the vote.

The Chairman of the Central Election Commission Kreshnik Radoniqi, says that by 11:00 AM, 7.84% of eligible voters had participated in the ongoing elections.

President @VjosaOsmaniPRKS cast her vote today at the Technical Faculty in Prishtina, calling it an important day for Kosovo’s democracy. She said that “the greater the participation and the freer the process, the stronger our democracy will be.”

In North Mitrovica, the Serb community is voting in an organized manner with support from the Serbian List. Over 17,600 voters can cast their ballots at six polling stations, and the process is running smoothly under the supervision of Kosovo Police, EULEX, and KFOR.

Acting Prime Minister @albinkurti voted today at the Faculty of Law in Prishtina, calling it an important day for Kosovo’s municipalities. He said citizens are deciding the next four years — voting for schools, healthcare, infrastructure, and local services.

AAK leader @haradinajramush cast his vote today in Gllogjan for the local elections. Haradinaj shared that voting in his hometown — where his late father once voted — is a special feeling, urging citizens to take part in the elections and decide for their municipalities.
