You are dot on spot, I was also looking on the same lines, here is what I noted, financial have 41.42 % weight on Sensex compare of nifty's 37.72% and this is despite Sensex having 2 less companies in financial compared to nifty.
Top 2 traded sectors in Sensex having 6% higher…
My feeling & observation
Trading in Nifty & Bank Nifty will be difficult on Fridays as Sensex weekly expiry is on the same day. Sensex will dance with the tune of BSE data which in turn will effect the indices of NSE.
Option data of Sensex will become a necessity.

Monday is market holiday , so we are left with 3 trading days in this series and ibulls housing has to close 4 crore of open interest in these 3 days ( Future open interest ) , either someone planning to go for physical settlement or huge move in next 3 days …
