Terrible to read about the devastation at Weizmann. But it doesn't compare with the devastation in Gaza. And Iran did not start this war. As recently as March, US intelligence said Iran is not building nuclear weapons👇🏾But Israel attacked anyway. Just an appalling situation.

I flew Air India Boeing 787 twice last month. I know people who refuse to book Boeing flights and am wondering whether I should do the same in future. Too early to know what caused this tragedy, but a whistleblower wanted all 787s grounded last year.

RIP Jayant Narlikar, a titan of Indian science. I first heard of him in middle school via his Hindi summary of Carl Sagan's Cosmos on Doordarshan. Acquired some of his books in high school. I didn't do astronomy but had the good fortune of meeting him, briefly, a few months ago.
