Apple has returned to using two 128GB chips in the Mac mini with 256GB storage, according to a teardown. No more having to worry about slower SSD speeds with the base model. Also, like the Mac Studio, the Mac mini now has modular storage. Removable? Yes. Upgradeable? Tricky.

I've donated to Wikipedia over the years, but the subject lines of their fundraising emails are honestly so annoying that it makes me consider stopping. Just got one that says "Leaving Canada in a few days," when the email is just a standard "please donate.".

I've been seeing anecdotal reports from iPhone users who say they temporarily lost all of their notes in the Notes app after accepting Apple's updated iCloud T&Cs through a recent push notification. I wonder why.

I want to flag that display industry analyst Ross Young says he currently has not heard about Apple's rumored 90Hz displays that an anonymous listener of the Upgrade podcast mentioned. That does not necessarily mean the rumor is false — we'll see.

Regardless of who wins the U.S. election, I think it's important to remember there ARE millions of smart, good-hearted people out there who reject Trump as a morally-bankrupt person. Nothing will change my view on that. Stay true to your values. Love over hate. Goodnight!.

New story from @aaronp613 and I. When released to the public in December, tvOS 18.2 should include four new screen saver categories: Snoopy, TV and Movies, Music, and Soundscapes. Note that Apple's internal name for the TV and Movies category is Cinematic.
