By that time, the original flight had landed at Hyd and we were allowed to go! We book our tickets for the next available flight and continue our journey. Yes, it costed us 5K as fine plus the cost of the new ticket, but the experience was not bad! 9/n.

Lo and behold, within minutes, the bag is located! They confirm the color and brand and hand over the bag in the next 10 minutes. Cue the sighs of relief and profuse gratitude. 8/n.

He makes us stand in front of one of those security cameras so that our faces can be captured. And so begins our adventure in airport espionage, complete with facial recognition and spy-level surveillance! It's like something out of a James Bond movie, I tell you. 7/n

But fear not, dear reader, for heroes emerge in the unlikeliest of places. Enter Mr. Swamy from @CISF, our knight in shining armor! With his confidence and determination, he vows to track down that elusive handbag. He was "110%" sure! 6/n.

We are told that we can’t go back to departure gate. We're escorted to arrivals, fined 5K each, and told we can't leave until our original flight lands in Hyderabad due to security measures! Talk about being grounded - literally! 5/n.

And thus begins the circus! From writing letters to filling out forms and providing ID copies, we're caught in a bureaucratic nightmare. But wait, it gets better. or worse, depending on your perspective! 4/n.

As we settled down in our seats, my friend realizes her handbag is MIA! Cue the panic! We beg the @Indigo crew to let us off, but they're having none of it. Threats of fines and all, we're finally allowed off the plane - just as the door slams shut in our faces! 3/n.

So, here's the story: I'm on this flight from Delhi to Hyderabad with a friend I haven't seen in ages. We're chatting away like there's no tomorrow, in front of the boarding gate. We continue to chat even while boarding the aircraft. That's when it all goes sideways. 2/n.
