This is even more true today than it was 6 years ago when I first wrote it. Digital health and interop will only scale with both trust and transparency over the next decade. Unfortunately, those are both becoming increasingly more difficult but we can’t give up on either one.

Trust is the new currency in the application economy. Companies who base their data sharing strategy on consumers making an upfront, informed, transparent, active choice regarding how they want their data to be shared will win . and win big.
