Hi there everyone! 20 yrs ago (!) we released the album «Melody A.M.». To mark the occasion, we are reissuing the album in hand-numbered, ltd edition, heavyweight 2LP format. Before you ask, it’s not remastered as we don’t like the idea of tampering with the classics;)
We’ve created a playlist called «Lost Tapes». An abundance of rare B-sides, exclusives - & even some previously unreleased tracks. The Playlist will be updated as we go, make sure you subscribe. All obscure tracks will eventually see the light of day.
Hi there people,
After a dramatically long period of silence on our end, we thought it both wise & appropriate to share a few words with you all. First of all, the «Lost Tapes» series has come to a halt for the time being.
Profound Mysteries III is out today and concludes our triple album endeavour. Our thanks to all of the artists and friends old and new who contributed to this adventure and of course you the fand! Especially those who joined us on the live-stream last night.
We will return
Hello! It seems people were excited about the «Melody A.M.». 20th A. reissue as it sold out in a few hours! Lots of fans didn’t get copies so the label are doing a repress!! Same format but numbers 1001-4000. Copies will be available via our store and other shops - more info soon
“Andromeda” was made in 2013 to establish a nice atmosphere at live shows with a light touch of anticipation + suspense. Reading some of your comments on previous "Lost Tapes", we noticed some of you wanted "Andromeda" to be included. Hence us adding it.
Hello,
someone pointed out we don’t have one of those 'greatest hits' playlists on streaming services so we decided to make one for Spotify and YouTube. It's called An Introduction to Röyksopp and you can listen here.
‘Church’ is a lost balearic banger that was recorded 6 years ago as part of ‘The Inevitable End’ album sessions and is the fourth track from Röyksopp's Lost Tapes playlist; make sure you subscribe, all obscure tracks will eventually see the light of day.
We just wanted to let you know the following. Profound Mysteries III is coming soon. It’s now official. Perhaps no great surprise to some of you 😉 Also a lot of you have been asking about vinyl; well this is coming soon too including a 6LP boxset.

'In The End’, originally written in 2014, features vocalists
@susannesundfor
and
@mwc_music
and is the third track from Röyksopp's Lost Tapes playlist. Make sure you subscribe; all obscure tracks will eventually see the light of day.
We pieced 'I Just Don't Understand You' together in the early summer of 2008. It was a late night/ early morning. Vocals are sung by both of us. This is the 7th track from the Lost Tapes playlist, make sure you subscribe:
We made "Shine On Like The Stars" with the wonderful Anneli Drecker some time around 2003. It's never been released & we've only performed it live a couple of times. But seeing that many of you wanted this as a "Lost Tape", we decided to dig it out.
The next Lost Tape "Gentle Movement" is an improvised musical endeavour with our good friend Kjetil Møster. A long time Röyksopp-collaborator, Mr. Møster has featured on several of our releases & done multiple shows with us in.

"Were You Ever Wanted" is a collaboration between
@LykkeLi
& us. It came about in 2008, around the time we made "Miss It So Much" for the album "Junior". We have occasionally performed "Were You Ever Wanted" live with Lykke Li, in many alterations.
This Lost Tapes version of “Alpha Male” is actually a request submitted by a longtime supporter of Röyksopp, namely «
@mushroomsmoke
» aka «Friends Of Röyksopp».
Röyksopp are excited to bring the «True Electric» tour to 🇺🇸 North America 🇨🇦 later this year.

"Rescue" saw it's beginning in 2012. The track was left in a drawer until rediscovered - and finally completed, some years later. This is the 6th track from the Lost Tapes playlist; make sure you subscribe:
Senior, the album, is the "introverted, dwelling and sometimes graceful counterpart to Junior" and has been re-pressed on vinyl via Röyksopp's own label, available here:
What’s this? Ooh, a remix! Olof Dreijer from
@theknifenews
has taken a fun & interesting approach to our track «Monument». Don’t know it? It’s a song we wrote together with the ever beaming
@robynkonichiwa
. Great!
Out now on Dog Triumph:

"Oblique Thrills" came about in February earlier this year. Whilst recording a completely different song, we learned the great Lyle Mays had passed. Consequently, we embarked on a "fusion-esque" venture as a nod to Mr. Mays, but in a Röyksopp manner.
2018 marks 20th anniversary of Röyksopp; they invite you to a «mini-festival of alter-egos» on 1st December @ Bergen Kjøtt. The 500cap venue is in the spirit of «our origins, an intimate warehouse party» They promise «5 hours blend of DJing & experiments»
The "Profound Mysteries" continue. We're very pleased to present the second installment of our ongoing venture. Our time-travel skills might appear more audible on this one... Señors B+B

Aficionados will know that we originally posted Shores Of Easy back in 2011, and perhaps will also remember that we performed the track live once, on
@KCRW
.
'I Wanna Know' was made sometime in 2007. Vocals are provided by us & the wonderful
@annelidrecker
. Svein did the lead on this one… Oh, and this has been available as a "Track of the month" but has never been commercially released. Lost Tapes playlist:
Back in the late eighties, before we (that’s S & T) dared to write our own music, we made cover versions of the songs of our musical heroes. One of which was Depeche Mode’s «Ice Machine». The old version (which we did at the age of 13/14) is long lost. (1/2)
But in 2012 we revisited the track once again - but this time with Susanne Sundfør on the mic. The track was featured on our «LateNightTales» mix, and we’ve also once performed it live on TV. (2/2)
There is no drama related to this decision. Quite the opposite. Let’s just say that we have to go back on a promise we made in the past - but hopefully to some elation.
All the best,
Señors B+B
The latest Lost Tape "Were You Ever Wanted" is now also available on YouTube. A collaboration between
