Finally HAD IT with clients misgendering me because my Microsoft Teams account won't allow me to put my pronouns in my title. Talked with IT and they said WE WILL NOT HAVE THAT so they're creating me a brand new account with my pronouns in the title 🥺🥺🥺.

I love my queer little barber shop. I love seeing people in cut off tees with top surgery scars. I love how they emphasize gender neutrality. I love that 50% of their clientele work in the theatre industry.

I did not know Adam personally; we never spoke directly 1:1. But I feel like I did because of the impact he made on the Richmond theatre community. He was such a wonderful human being. And to think he lost his life from HELPING is what hurts the most.

And now I am scared. But more than that, I am angry. Because I shouldn't have to worry about being an active bystander because this person may have a fucking gun. Everyone deserves to be safe. And being an active bystander is about showing up for those who may not feel safe.

I take pride in the fact that I stand up and show up as an active bystander. Even at 5'4" and scrawny, I stare at man-babies in the eye and ask if there is a problem. But my community lost a pillar of a man due to gun violence when he intervened in a domestic dispute.
