imo this is why everyone should experience being in a tiny fandom or even a fandom that's just like, your/your friends ocs
The change from fandoms being a positive space to celebrate and uplift art to a content farm made to be consumed and consumed until nothing is left has really been so devastating to watch. Fandoms were supposed to be a freaky niche thing, not mass marketed corporate nightmares.
