Trying hard to be a good human each day. My day job: I find bad people doing bad things in the financial world. I take pictures and love Burnley FC ❤️🙂
I think this looks great in the home office. It may be 4,800 miles for me….but Burnley is always right there for me. Back in Burnley in 17 days

That trip to Burnley in a couple weeks was already going to be beautiful. But now….it’s going to be perfect. One of the last things my father said before he passed was “have faith son. Burnley will be back.” Dad was right.

This love of Burnley started back in the Winter of 2003. Some tears (both good and bad)Lots of bad language words. But never lost faith in this team and the love I have for this club grows each year. Enjoying tonight with a proper drink, and a gigantic smile

My first picture on Turf in 2018. My story of loving this club started way back in 2003 whilst having a beer in London and met some Burnley folk. It took 15 years for me to make it and I made sure I’m never far away now. Back in 16 days. Love my club

So I debated this for quite a while, but finally decided the answer is yes: I am a season ticket holder for
@BurnleyOfficial
for 2024-2025. Crazy decision? Maybe. But I love my club and I have never objected to a flight or two (or more) 🙂

Not excited all! Heading for the airport shortly and for my 122nd and 123rd flight of the year, I get to bring the cap back home 🙂. Up. The. Clarets.

Back in the United States (not quite home yet…it’s a big country after all lol). But amazing trip to Burnley (despite the absolute howler of a goal). Lovely time and lots of laughter with good mates and a Bene or two. Cannot wait to return.

Each day it gets more real that I am back in Burnley this weekend to watch the Clarets play. And to have a beer (or two-ish) at my favourite pub on the planet. Feeling unbelievably blessed.

Back in the US….upon reflection had a good weekend. Burnley reached out direct to me and the ticketing snafu was sorted and apologies made. All is well. Met some brilliant amazing folks and always lovely to be back. Happy Tuesday

Today is a travel to Burnley day for me and I am like a kid on Christmas morning wondering what Santa has brought. Woke up early. Debating what kit to bring for the match. Not the season anyone wanted, but my fourth trip this year is going to be fantastic.
#twitterclarets
My daughter made this for me in 2022. I’m two weeks out from my fourth trip this season and my 13th trip since 2018. I know it’s been tough this go round in the Prem, but I love this club and town and so blessed to be part of the Claret family
#twitterclarets
Finally secured air tickets for Burnley v Fulham in February. Wicked great deal (under $450/£356 round trip). Looking forward to returning and certainly hoping we have more than four points by then. “It’s the hope that kills you.

Today was tough. Notwithstanding the result.
@BurnleyOfficial
. I flew 5000 miles for this match and my ticket I secured was occupied and the stewards did nothing to change it. I still love my club, but today. They failed.
In my Lyft for the 41st flight of the year: a quick 1,069 mile trip back to the office in Ohio. The Gaffers hat is making the trip….perhaps there will be much celebrating tomorrow evening.

At the gate about to push for Minneapolis….all the flying comes with perks as I am up front again in Delta One. Had a brilliant time and cannot wait for the return in April. Until then….

It’s not the losses or the relegation that bothers me. It’s the awful and senseless personnel decisions and the complete inability of the manager to learn from the same mistakes. Is it arrogance and ego? Either way, the plot has been lost
#twitterclarets
On the longest part of the journey now….but the Delta One Suites (and the lie flat bed that goes with it) should make this leg an easy one. Can’t wait to be in Burnley having a grown up drink tomorrow
#twitterclarets
Time to post this. Flight 36 for the year and a wee bit of extra leg room. Tomorrow: A drink with good friends back in the town I love.
#twitterclarets
Sorted three home matches for the year. Was hoping for four, but alas, my work schedule and travel from the US said three. In Burnley for Palace, Fulham, and Wolves. Love my club and love my second home in Burnley.
#twitterclarets
WARNING: Positive Burnley tweet incoming. Our next seven matches….am I wrong to think (assuming we can stop shipping goals and become more clinical up front) that we could get 10-12 points out of the next seven? Or am I crazy?

@NorAmClarets
I’ll go back to what I’ve been saying: even if he wasn’t playing much, how big of a deal would it have been to have Ashley Barnes in the dressing room. He was the heart and soul of this team.

Slower start to the flying year, but flight 7 and 8 today. And the cap still travels with. But next week…..a bit farther of a flight home to Burnley.

Amazing trip this for me. Disappointed with the result certainly, but amazing time with good friends in a place I love. Back in April 🙂 for Wolves.

So today is the ash spreading and celebration of life for Dad. He was such a big Liverpool supporter and to honour him I will be wearing this kit to remember him. You know I bleed claret and blue, but for today…..for you Dad.

On the train from Leeds to Burnley…..talking shit and laughing with proper Burnley fans and some good natured Chelsea supporters. What a day.
#twitterclarets
Flying back, one of the flight attendants saw me in Burnley colours and mentioned she supported Sheffield United. She asked if I was happy to be back in the Prem despite how things are going. And if I’d prefer the Championship. Was not an easy answer
#twitterclarets
Sometimes fate and some flexibility with work means l’ll be at 20% (4 total) of the home matches this year. Love my club. Love my second home in Burnley. Up. The. Clarets.

Going up into the hills (10,000 feet ASL) to lay flowers and have a beer in memory of Dad. But have to fly the colours 🙂. Hopefully we get a result today, but it’s just football. Bigger things on my mind this weekend.

I don’t know what it says about my parenting skills, but her first beer and trip to a pub was in Burnley this past October. She’s already planning another trip with me in the autumn.

Reflection. I keep reflecting on the performance tonight as a series of “what could have been” against “what should have been.” Gutted (but not surprised) with the result. And yet, happy times with great people in a place I love. We go again.

What a day. What a team. What a season. I am still beaming and so damn excited. Love this team and town. See you in a couple weeks. (And yeah, the Bene was amazing tonight)
#twitterclarets
I still feel like we have lost our heart and soul and passion. We need someone that can take the match by the scruff of the neck and take over. Someone like a certain

we lost in the off season. It’s just….so disappointing and frustrating and sad.

Some minor schedule changes for me as work and a minor medical thing have led me to miss Wolves but come out for Brighton. I’ve always wanted to hike Pendle Hill so that’s on the list. Can’t wait to be back in town again in a month

Yeah, I know it’s only 11:27 in the morning and having a beer this early says something about me. It says: I bleed claret and blue. Let’s effing do this.

As you know, my Dad passed in November 2022 and he was proud to serve as a Marine. He was even prouder to display the American Flag each day from his home. I finally had the strength to get a case for it and it now is proudly displayed in my home office. Love you Dad ❤️
Those moments in life….in a meeting just now and randomly started crying. Friday is the one year of Dad passing and I am struggling massively this week. Just miss him so much
Flying to Los Angeles this morning to meet with our teams there and run (yes, run) in a race Saturday morning. Debuting a new hat for my travels today and I have to say….it’s brilliant. And should we win tomorrow…. Might have to wear this more often.

I’d like to thank the mute on my phone for my work conference call right now. Best not to hear me yell GET IN whilst on a call with my Board of Directors.

It’s 1.33 in the morning and sleep was fleeting due to a 5.25 AM flight. But I’ve got coffee to at least get me functional for the drive to the airport. Heading out of the USA for a week for holiday with my boy Brennan (who is still sleeping soundly 🙂
