It's amazing to see how robots can now interpret and break down requests — even those that are a bit vague like "That snack is too small. Bring me one that is more filling." or "I spilled my soda. Bring me something to clean it up.".

I’ve got a little Alphonso Mango tree and I’m ridiculously excited that it appears to be fruiting for the very first time!.

Wonder if it always takes three attempts to park this car correctly.

I've apparently become someone who just uses Instagram for photos of my garden and I'm kinda OK with that.

A clipping of the article can be found in the scrapbooks meticulously compiled by Fitzgerald (and later donated to the Princeton University Library by his daughter Scottie):

Turns out it might've really happened. An article fitting Fitzgerald's description exists. It appeared in the New York Daily News on April 30, 1923.

In “My Lost City,” Fitzgerald mentions a newspaper article with the headline “Fitzgerald Knocks Officer This Side of Paradise.” . Was this a case of Fitzgerald using a bit of artistic license? Or did the incident really happen?

You ever make a mental note to look something up and then just . not get around to it? This week I've been finding myself finally getting around to looking up some of those random little things. Like that one article about F. Scott Fitzgerald punching a cop.

I’m disappointed that @BenandJerrys doesn’t have an ice cream flavor that’s inspired by @LastWeekTonight. They could call it “Last Pint Tonight.”.

My resolution for the New Year is to ride into every sunset on the silliest pool float I can find.

I keep thinking about this salad spinner. How long has version 4.0 been on the market? How soon will it be obsolete? What if version 4.1 comes out right after I buy version 4.0?!?

@NASA The device I own is one of the very first prototypes. Later versions used fancier materials and had changes made to address cooling issues.

@NASA After a bit of digging, I learned that this device was built by a company called Aquarius Electronics — run by Tim Scully of “Orange Sunshine” fame — and indeed part of the project described earlier in this thread.
