I loved presenting my PhD work at #dioxin2023 last week and hearing from all the researchers advancing our understanding around halogenated persistent organic pollutants. (Also how gorgeous is Maastricht?!) #phdlife

We found that QRISK3 had moderate discrimination for UK Biobank participants, but this declines with age and that QRISK3 systematically over predicts cardiovascular disease risk in UK Biobank.

QRISK3, a cardiovascular disease prediction model derived and validated using primary care data, is often used in the UK Biobank cohort. Just published is my work with @Oxford_NDPH to externally validate this model in UK Biobank for future researchers ⬇️.
