The latest AppleTV version of the Youtube app is absolutely terrible. Controls are almost non-responsive, giant posters so you only get two recommendations on the screen. Gesturing right sometimes goes left, sometimes goes 2 to the right. Does anyone test this stuff?

I replaced Win 11 which shipped on my new Intel+Nv (5070Ti) laptop... tried Linux Mint - not bad but gaming sucks on it... Bazzite - better but issues on some games. Settled on CachyOS with zero issues for my games and apps so far. Infinitely better than ad/ai infested Windows.

Does anyone know how to keep a CAMetalLayer backed view updating with a CAMetalDisplayLink DURING an enter and exit fullscreen transitions on macOS? Custom NSTimer is too janky etc.

I'm confused by Oblivion remaster jankiness of exiting a cave back into the main world. How did this pass QA? The world visually streams back in (slow and ugly). It's also hilarious if a pile of skeletal bones is near the exit as it stands up in a T-pose for a few frames. WTF.

Apple’s “new” iMac has only a 24” screen and a maximum of 32 GB RAM and costs a fortune. The 2017 iMac Pro has 27” screen and 64 GB RAM and it’s 8 years old. My ancient i5 iMac has 27” screen and 32 GB RAM and an 8 GB GPU. I’m confused, it’s 2024 right?

Small optimisation is that if camera vector is hard-coded to {0,0,1} then dot product is just the Z coord. Also I saw the texcoord array source is written with dimension 3 but should be 2. Thanks again for the entertaining content.

iOS 18 control centre position and sizing is janky as heck, as tested in 5 seconds on iPad. Not sure how this made it past QA. Also seemingly no way to reset layout after the UI screws up shit, awesome.

Whomever wrote the Nvidia CUDA sanitizer needs a bump in pay. I don’t use it often but when I do use it, it doesn’t fail me.
